Last foster dog

So THIS will be my last foster dog and there is no other option to foster bc we will have him up until we leave nc. He was the firstborn on the euthanize list bc he was in the shelter so long and today was euthamize day and I couldn't let it happen he is too cute! So I said I would foster if a rescue stepped up and my favorite re scue in Burlington N.J. where ally foster have gone said they would take him so he is saved!! And not to mention a cutie! He is around 3 months old and I will send more pictures after bath time and he is settling into our house.

Forgot to mention one of the main ladies I deal with and who Is a Volunteer
but does a ridiculous amount of work for this shelter- to get as many animals out as possible.. just found out she has multiple tumors in her brain. All she requested with this info presented was that everyone step up and continue to help the animals because she has to step out of her role to deal with her tumors. Anyway her name is Christine and she is such a great selfless person and needs prayers for herself and that someone will step up and take over her role so her mind is at ease. Thanks!

Cleo update

Talked to the Burlington county N.J. shelter today and they got ahold of cleo's new foster home for me. They said she was very scared throughout her transport this weekend but made it safely to her new foster home. The foster home has a dog foster sibling and she seems to be settling in with the help of their dog. But everything seems to be going well!!! Dallas seems to be doing better today too and is much more playful probably because I'm not as sad and worried about cleo anymore which I'm sure didn't help his depressive state.

Dallas and goon played this morning and Dallas is ready for a walk and some relaxing time in the house after his long day yesterday.

busy weekend

Busy weekend visiting with friends before Dustin leaves for work Wednesday. This is his last time home before we leave for Portland.
Today was an eventful day of hiking in Pisgah forest with a friend and Dallas' first dog friend Mackenzie. Then off to the Durants for dinner and more play time for Dallas with his other best friend Miles. Dallas has been so sad and depressed since Cleo left even though he pretended (and did a good job of convincing us) he didn't like her and that she was constantly annoying him. Now he is sad and lonely.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cleo says goodbye

Nash came over this morning for a last time morning romp in the yard with cleo and Dallas. Then Cleo left this morning to start her transport to the new jersey shelter. Burlington county animal alliance. She was really sad anf not sure why she was leaving us again. Dallas came with Mr to drop her off for moral support anf it was definitely helpful. Definitely the hardest foster to say goodbye to.
We came back and went for a run with Nash and max the neighbor dogs to feel better anf it was sunny and warm outside and just what we all needed.

Yesterday's walk pictures are finally here. I downloaded the pictures to the computer. Such a nice day yesterday and they had the longest walk!
