Drive on the beach on our way home. Dallas must have run at least 5 miles and walked 3! He had such a good morning chasing birds and exploring the beach. He was definitely tired after yesterdays long beach runs.
He found a barely live flounder type fish on the beach and tore it apart but was soo proud of his fish find!
Headed home to see goon!
I found a star fish on the beach and Dallas wanted it do he was begging and would grab it out of my hand whenever it was low.
We also found a baby whale carcas with an intact fin which was odd but they do have whales wash up on shore occasionally during the spring time during their migration north.
We are eating and napping one and the sun has finally come out so we will head back out shortly to enjoy the sun and possible warmer temperatures.
We found a lot of things on the beach today and Dallas had sooo much fun chasing birds and running on the beach. He caught a seagull...well one couldn't fly and when he chased a whole flock they flew away and he basically just stood over it and didn't know what to Do. Dustin chased him away from the bird the bird pecked Dallas once before he got away but it was quite the adventure.
Yesterday was a recovery day for all and we slept in, went to visit kellan, Kari and baby logan and then took a long nap in the afternoon.
Little Logan was so good while we visited and so tiny!
Today is another lounge day after church due to another hot afternoon in the mid 80s.
We leave tomorrow for the three day beach trip and goon will have the pet sitter visiting her during the day. She will be a little lonely but so happy to see us when we return. For monster it will be three relaxing beach days where he can fish and dig in the sand.
Up at 4 am getting prepped for the laurie island half marathon. I have definitely not prepared for this one and I'm nervous about finishing in pain.
Dallas was up most of the night shaking violently because of fireworks going off fairly close. He will be tired and sleep well while we are gone this morning. Goon had no concerns with the fireworks and was just happy that Dallas followed her and her mom around the house all night long. She is currently batting around a piece of granola she found and having a great early morning.
The animals played with the laser today taking turns attacking. Dallas went for an early morning run with Dustin and hated it haha he wouldn't even get out of bed to go with him Dustin had to pull him out haha he is so lazy.
Lazy family day today and another hot one. Almost 10 degrees cooler than yesterday but still hot.
